No doubt it will be down to the "utilization" they always go on about when there's an internet problem.

Your power levels are pretty much spot on. Try the London server at speed test as it seems to give more consistant results.

The London server has been returning less than 1mbps for my broken 20 mbps connection although it was actually capable of downloading at 10mbps at times.

It's odd but when a connection is working well this site will give pretty accurate results but when a connection is buggered the results are all over the place.

Too often the site's results are ridiculed when it seems to be the connection that is at fault.

So what we know about the OP:

1. He still had Virgin Media BB in mid-March (and now) so it seems he didn't cancel as he threatened. He also suggests that he is not paying for Virgin Media BB until it is fixed.

2. He has a BT line and O2 BB as well as Virgin Media BB, assuming he was telling the truth earlier in the year.

Nope. I'm also with Be Broadband.... and they're best service I've ever been with.

Just to show you I'm not lying:

How is that proof that you have BE BB. You could be sitting at anyone's BB.

If you do have it then you were economical with the truth earlier in the year when you said you were going to O2. I guess you could have changed your mind.

If you have BE then why have you not simply cancelled Virgin Media BB and got rid of all the obvious stress they are causing you?

Because I can't cancel it, that's the problem; I got on the phone to them today and they gave the same old reason why I'm getting faults. They gave me £20 back and downgraded me to 10 megs.

And that is proof for you about my speedtest. I'll do another speedtest if you want:

Then obviously you're in a much better area than me. No need to be sarcastic; I'm paying good money for a service they can't provide for me, I'm entitled to moan about it.

But for them to say they're going to get the fault fixed 6 months ago and still have the same problem when I was having back in April, is truely pathetic.... not to mention, this has been going on for years, and they still haven't fixed the fault.

But you successfully cancelled it back in Jan this year (11/1/10) . Read your post from back then.

There's my problem, I actually didn't cancel it. I couldn't cancel it; they were adamant I couldn't cancel it, or I would have to pay a big fee back to them...., or that's what the person over phone said to me. And to top it off, they sent me a letter (this was about 3 or 4 weeks later) saying my contract had me renewed because I ordered 50meg.

I tried to cancel it, over the phone, but that's what I get for speaking to an Indian caller.

Anyways, can the mod please lock this? It doesn't seem I'm getting the nicest of responses, and it's just wasting your time and my time by this topic being here.

Thanks for the people who responded.

And I THOUGHT it was cancelled, but they didn't cancel it. They sent me a letter - this was 3 or 4 weeks later - and rang me up telling me I had to pay to cancel it.
