Actually I find it hilarious ... a bit close to the bone at times, which is why I don't normally seek it out to watch it.

But for me, the reason to watch it is the scriptwriting, not the quality of the animation.

Although this is spectacularly irreverent I should point out that they no longer use the paper style animation for the show, they use digital animation although retain the 2D style. However since they made the move they do occasionally sweep the camera around and do stylistic shots (think Lion King).

Pop Surrealists Spin South Park’s Little Angels

South Park redefined pop culture as we know it. Now, 15 pop artists are redefining South Park for the animated show’s 15th birthday.

The 15 Artists Reinterpret South Park exhibit, curated by street surrealist Ron English, will be unveiled Monday at Opera Gallery New York.

English’s biblical spoof Last Supper in South Park (above) will be lording over the proceedings, with Greg Craola Simkins’ Kenny Angel and Mark Dean Veca’s Howdy Ho Jesus (below) providing capable backup, along with painterly homages from Ad Hoc Art Collective, Kid Zoom, KaNo, Trustocorp and other participating artists.


They look pretty cool to me

Preview clip of the first episode of season 15 which was broadcast on US screens this Wednesday and has been received well from what I've read:

Dunno why there's a 10 day delay till it gets broadcast in the UK though :confused: As iirc the previous couple of seasons have been shown here within 72 hours of USA.
