All,

There seems to be some inconsistency regarding Modem Stats...

What are the recommended levels? How are these?

Downstream Lock : Locked
Downstream Channel Id : 6
Downstream Frequency : 586750000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : QAM64
Downstream Symbol Rate : 6952 Ksym/sec
Downstream Interleave Depth : taps12Increment17
Downstream Receive Power Level : -5.6 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 39.5 dB

Upstream Lock : Locked
Upstream Channel ID : 1
Upstream Frequency : 25800000 Hz
Upstream Modulation : QPSK
Upstream Symbol Rate : 2560 Ksym/sec
Upstream transmit Power Level : 53.0 dBmV
Upstream Mini-Slot Size : 2

Also, what effect does upgrade to 20mb have? It is currently 10mb...

Thanks

S

Does it matter unless you have a problem?

I suspect not, as I don't have any problems, but as an engineer, I can't help but to ask! :)

It's borderline in spec, 53 is close to the limit and your downstream should be close to zero but as long as your snr is good (which it is) it can go as low as -10

Upgrading to xl does what it says on the tin, your speed doubles, you'll also get a hub :)

As my connection is so borderline, will upgrading to 20mb be out of the question, or does it not affect these?

It should be ok, Those stats are fine for all speeds
