As tittle broadband speed in Derby DE23 is really bad again this evening.

I think what you will be told is to get that downstream power at a better level via a tech.

Right i have ordered the 50Mbs service which is due to for install tomorrow.
Don't think the 20Mbs service is cutting it as speeds are awful again even during the daytime.

Well at least this should guaranteed a move away from the old network and onto the newer docsis 3 one. Hope it all goes well for ya.

yep you will get docsis3 downstream which should mean if you have any downstream congestion that will be gone. Also QAM16 upstream instead of that QPSK.

Just was suprised when i got told that the engineer can install it in 24 hours.
Let's hope all goes well.
Never have any issues on my ADSL connection at work.

Well my 50Mbs install has gone live see speed test below.
Pretty happy

spoke to soon my new 50Mbs connection was running sweet untill the past 2 hours now speeds will not go above 14-20Mbs hows dissapointing. I thought there is no traffic mangement on the 50Mbs service and all i have downloaded is a 650Mb linux distro. Gutted.

Test 4: 4096K took 1929 ms = 2123.4 KB/sec, approx 16987 Kbps, 16.59 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 16716 Kbps, 16.33 Mbps

there is no traffic management but it is contended and congestion can occur.
