Hi there.

About 18 months ago I moved from Plusnet and BT to Virgin Cable for my Broadband, TV and Internet. With the pinch of finances, I am looking round and saw a great deal for O2 (unlimited broadband, free evening and weekend calls including line rental, for £17 a month, (Using Freeview for my TV)). Problem I am having is after phoning O2 and other ISPs no one wants to touch me as they say I don't have a BT line.

I still physically have a BT phone point I used to use before going to Virgin next to the Cable phone box I currently use. I didn't see the Virgin installation engineer touching the phone line. Am I right in assuming the BT line is physically there?

Very confused, I am out of contract with Virgin and I think I still have a BT line. What do I need to do?

If you're no longer paying BT any money you don't have an 'active' BT line, you need to contact BT and order a new one

Doesn't necessarily have to be BT, quite a few of the LLU operators can reconnect you directly.
