Hi there,
I'm on the Virgin National Broadband service and have a D-Link DSL-2640R ADSL Router. I have 2 laptops which work wireless and are fine connecting, however, as soon as I start my desktop PC up, the Router crashes and I have to shut down my desktop PC in order to get the Router to start working again. I have the router sat on top of the tower of my desktop at the moment, not sure if that has anything to do with it?
I orginally thought it was a dodgy network cable they sent me from my desktop to the router, however even when a cable I had was disconnected from the router from the desktop, the Router still crashes until the PC is turned off. I then re-boot the router and the Internet is fine again, wireless reconnects and all is good.
Could anyone shed any light on this? As I need to use my desktop fairly soon for work purposes. Just a bit annoying having to turn my desktop off each time it happens.
Cheers in advance! :)
