Hello,
When using IRC servers I am told this ...
* Looking up chat.freenode.net
* Connecting to chat.freenode.net (213.232.93.3) port 8000...
* Connected. Now logging in...
* *** Looking up your hostname...
* *** Checking Ident
* *** Your forward and reverse DNS do not match, ignoring hostname
The host name of my IP used to be cpc2-hawk7-0-0-cust247.aztw.cable.virginmedia.com
But now it has changed to cpc2-hawk7-0-0-cust1015.aztw.cable.virginmedia.com
When you resolve the new host name it brings it back to 77.xxx.119.xxx which isn't my IP. My IP is 77.xxx.116.xxx.
Why is this happening?
