I wonder if someone can answer me a question.

I reciently was issued a new IP by Virgin and ever since sites now think im in Dartford...

Anyway what i also noticed is during Tracerts the CMTS name has changed... This was taken on 23rd May..

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 5 ms 39 ms 9 ms cwma-cmts-07-lback20.network.virginmedia.net [86.5.132.1]

This was taken today doing a tracert to same site and it is the same for any site also....

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 7 ms 7 ms 7 ms cpc4-cwma7-2-0-gw.know.cable.virginmedia.com [86.18.12.1]

Could this be the cause to why websites think im in Dartford?

Probably, geo-location on the Internet sucks.

Welcome to the new centralised services platform.

Get used to it. Those of us on Virgin ADSL have been treated to highly dodgy geo-location for years. My apparent location swings from one side of the country to the other with every IP change, but it never gets within about 200 miles of where I actually am.
