Really poor upload speeds tonight, download isn't that much better. But then Upstream Modulation has been at QPSK most of the evening.

Now after a couple of reboots I am back with normal speeds.

For everybody's interest, at normal speeds, what are your upstream stats?

If that is the case why is it still happening?

Faults can reoccur. Speak with Virgin and record the fault officially if concerned and they'll check it out and resolve it.

my guess is the qpsk been only half the capacity of the qam16 channel is congested.

is the modem going back to the qpsk channel by itself without a reboot?

No, it sometimes happens during a reset of modem or even just when I turn on the computer and then when I notice slow speeds I usually have a look at the modem settings and this is when I notice it's back to QPSK.

It's at QAM16 at present, interesting how long and when it changes to QPSK, hopefully not for a while.
