id like to force change my external ip im behind a netgear router so im not sure what i have to do? this is kinda urgent my ip address has made its way to some not so good sites etc.
the type of modem i have is the old ntl one.
You can try and turn the modem of for 30 mins, but thats no guarentee.

modems turned off at nite time for like 10 or so hours so that wont work :/

change the mac address on your router or ethernet card. The router will have a clone option select that your pcs mac will be cloned to the router. Reboot the modem and a new ip is issued

You might want to consider giving your machine a scan with something like Malwarebytes too depending on how dodgy the sites were....
