I have joined up on here as I keep getting the same response from TW,
my webstar modem stops working after about 2-3 minutes of constant use like waiting for a video to buffer, I reset the modem like TW tell me to do and same again, allthe lights are on apart from the data light, I was told it could be my PCs Internet card but after running the modem to the router then using the ps3 to steam a video the same thing happens again, I feel there is somthing wrong with the modem but TW tell me that it's fine!

Has anybody had the same problem or got any solutions????

Which model is your Webstar.

Try logging into the modem and click on the green Signal link at the top and please copy and paste the Downstream and Upstream power levels here.

Just click this link http://192.168.100.1/

Webstar is an obsolete modem anyway, try getting them to post you a new one

It's the dpx100 model if that's right I'm just doing it from memory, I did the power test whilst on the phone with the TW guy! Do you really think it would be easy to get a new modem out of them???

I believe it can only handle 15meg. I know folk who have the motorola 5100 surfboard that got a cisco modem sent to them on request, worth asking the question, if not an engineer would probably replace it when they visit.

Only the DPX100 and the DPX110 are obsolete the EPC2100 is still being issued.

As a workaround try clicking this link and it should reset your modem 192.168.100.1/gscan.cgi?freq=331000000 (http://192.168.100.1/gscan.cgi?freq=331000000)

That modem is normally replaced on sight so call up and ask for a replacement.

The Cisco one is a rebranded Webstar as they taken over by them but you are correct about the older models hence the reset link above.;)
