Is there a cap on 50mb service on the top end, i was just downloading something and the speed was almost 6mb/s.

Not angry or anything, think its pretty damn good.
On 20mb it seemed limited to 20mb exactly

53Mbps is the cap applied to the modem.

53Mb due to overheads, the upload is set to 1.75Mb but sold as 1.5Mb

1 bit = 8 bytes so 50mb = 6.25MB/s

You're just a little bit under 50mb there.

Would upgrading to 100mbit on these modems be easy to do? It wouldn't need an engineer to come out yes?

If you have the VMNG300 50Mb modem the will be no issue as they are being used on the 200Mb trials at the moment.

No engineer will be required if already on 50Mb.

is the ever increasing speed rush to 200mbit plus a bid to stay ahead of LTE?
