Apologies if this has already been posted, had a look and couldn't see it. Just tried to bring up newsgroup support and found it was no more:
The Virgin Media newsgroups have now closed and no further posts can be
made to them.
Any customers looking for assistance should post on the Help & Support
forums which can be found at http://community.virginmedia.com
In addition, the text.news server has been discontinued and customers
are advised to reconfigure their newsgroup software to use the server
news.virginmedia.com instead.
