These speeds are fine for me, but when downloading large files its a bit annoying, been happening since yesterday and since im on the 20Mb package it seems a bit low.

I tried directly connecting the modem, disabling all security software and no change.

My ping is usually around 11ms and my download speed usually reaches about 19.70Mbps.

I spoke to technical support and he said there is no issues on their end and he performed tests and his tests show im getting full 20Mb speeds but that isn't the case.

Is there anyone that would be able to check if there is a fault in the area?

I don't know if this is the problem, but im sure it said 100Mbps before, now says 10Mbps?

There is definitely something wrong with your network adaptor cause it needs to be at 100mbps. It needs to be set to 100mbps full duplex, just trying to find where to set it in Windows 7, it's normally on properties for your Network Adaptor in device manager but can't seem to find it on my Windows 7

Thanks, changed to 100Mbps full duplex, also did a firmware upgrade on my router and now

Right, I had similar problems and there was a batch command you do on Windows 7 that optimizes the settings which I found on this very forum. I have attached it to this message so extract it from the Zip folder and then right click it and Run as Administrator

This is really odd. What is your speed like connected directly to the modem and what are your modem stats like? (http://192.168.100.1/CmNavigation.asp User/Pass: root)

Connected directly to the modem and getting around 9Mbps, wont go above 10Mbps.

Not sure what you mean by stats, but i'll post what i think you mean:

Upstream transmit Power Level : 39.0 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 38.3 dB
Downstream Receive Power Level : 8.4 dBmV
Maximum Downstream Data Rate : 20480000
Maximum Upstream Data Rate : 768000

if there something else i didn't post?

This is a speed test from my laptop:

This is a speed test from my computer

Here is a speed test with my old router in use

Doesn't make any sense, since when i used the other router, the laptop on wireless was fine, when connected directly to the computer, it was still slow, now all of a sudden with the old router its fast again.

try auto negotiation instead of manual 100 full duplex, sometimes manual will still mess it up.

if possible test speeds between laptop and pc to verify the lan is ok.

if the lan speeds are fine then you be looking at a configuration issue somewhere, perhaps a browser/flash/java issue or tcp buffer setting, like windows 7 autotuning messing up.
