I have managed to get my server working and my Domain is all hosted on my server using SBS2008 and everything works fine but because I am on a dynamic IP lots of email systems refuse my emails - including hotmail.

According to http://uksbsguy.com/blogs/doverton/archive/2008/05/30/how-to-configure-a-smart-host-for-internet-e-mail-in-sbs-2008.aspx I should be able to use mail.ntlworld.com as my Smart Host with no username or password.

My email address with Virgin is an ntlworld one and I have tried using this without a username/password and puting in my ntl email address as the username and my password but no emails get sent.

Does anyone know wjhat I'm doing wrong or if I can use a SmartHost to send my email?

Thanks

You'd be better off asking this in the email section of the forum.

Easy one this.

Just change your SMTP setting to smtp.ntlworld.com. As long as you're using a VM IP address AND your email address with VM is on the ntlworld.com domain, you should be OK.
