I had 50Mb installed today and was impressed to see it doing exactly what it said on the tin over at www.speedtest.net :)
But later on when I setup my wireless N router (with N wireless dongle) and secured it I noticed the speed dropping off considerably. I did some tests and basic summary is

ethernet: 50Mb
wireless (no security): 45Mb
wireless (WPA): 30Mb

I have read that some slowdown is to be expected but didn't think it would be this bad. I don't think there is a great deal I can do about it, just gotta suck it up I guess. That or just run it open... :erm:

Running WPA2 here and get solid 50mbit 24/7 on wireless.

Using NetGear WNDR3700

That router looks pretty sweet, bit pricey though! I'm just using the default D-Link Virgin gave me. Good to know it is possible at least.

cheers

I got it because the router can handle 400mbit on the WAN port, so shouldn't need to upgrade even if Virgin release 200mbit up and down.

Maybe we will get 200/7.5
