I know Liverpool has a few problems at the moment with utilization, but I'm only getting 2 meg at the moment.

Downstream power's a bit on the high-side, but somebody more "in the know" would be able to confirm whether that's within safe limits. Is it just your downloads which are affected?

Well... it's going worse than ever now. I'm wired connected at the moment, and the browsing is awful.

Here's my latest result:

Upload bad as well as download. I'd say that needs a tech visit to sort the power levels out, but one of the VM bods would be better confirming that.

Got a tech coming out tomorrow afternoon. As you said, the downstream power levels are a bit high.

Just an update to my situation; the tech came and put the modem downstream levels much lower...., but he then stated it must be down to the utilization, because I was only getting 2 megs at the time. Nice guy, and really was helpful. Also, he stated the problem should be sorted within a week.

So you're no further forward.

If the tech was there and could only get 2Mb Id be straight on the phone to chase it up and complain, dont wait a week just to find out nothing has changed. You're paying for 50Mb

Forgot to mention; he gave me a reference number so I won't pay for anything till it's sorted.
