Hi,

Doing some house renovations and I am looking to extend a cable that runs to my catch up tv box. It is white, and the same cable that enters the house and plugs directly into the modem. I think it might be coax but would like some confirmation if possible. also, what are the connector types used on the end of this cable?

thanks for any help.

It is similar to coaxial, but a far higher quality, the connectors a "F-Type" IIRC

thanks for your reply.

more research seems to point towards using rg6 coax, does this also use f type connectors?

All Virgin Media modem and set-top box connections in the home use f-connectors. What's a catch-up TV box though? I've not heard of a Virgin box called by that name.

use a good quality rg6 coax cable.
