ive recently moved house and signed up to virgin media again for the new house, and was sent the cisco webstar 2100 modem, but unlike my old webstar modem i can no longer access the settings using 192.168.100.1, i can only see the main page, and says i do not have permission to access the other pages.
so when i see everyone else able to give their upstream snr etc i cannot get to mine. is there anyway way of over riding or accessing this information on my modem?

i also used to be able to change settings on my old modem using 192.168.100.1/gscan.html, but obviously can no longer do that, so any help would be appreciated.

Change access level to 2
Password: W2402

You should get a message saying login successful. You should then be able to access those screens for a couple of minutes before they lock again.

Where did you get that information from if you do not mind me asking as does it really work.

I got it from a google search (not from you Seph sorry!!).

I tried to get VM customer services to unlock it but they told me it was locked to prevent tampering. My initial suspicion was that they didn't know how to do it themselves.

damn, was really hoping to be able to change settings if they ever went wrong. which on my old modem the frequencies used to change, so causing internet to be really slow.
cheers for help though.

Frequency changes happened on the DPX100, DPX110 & SB4100. You'll be ok with the EPC2100.
