Hi

I'm on 20mb package, however I'm getting around 9-13mb which is pointless of being on the 20mb in terms of down speed.

I've tested using a variety and here are the results:

Speedtest.net (Birmingham Server)

1. 11.47mb/s
2. 11.20mb/s
3. 10.86mb/s

Broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk

1. 10.93 mb/s
2. 13.26 mb/s
3. 12.54 mb/s

Thinkbroadband.com

1. 7.1 mb/s
2. 7.2 mb/s
3. 7.1 mb/s

Mybroadbandspeed.co.uk

1. 12.01 mb/s
2. 9.96 mb/s
3. 9.47 mb/s

Is this good or bad? :)

I used to get full 20mb/s at any time of day, and a flukey 25mb/s at one point (as show in sig)
now it's down to these numbers :(

Well they look low, try downloading 4 files from gamefiles.virginmedia.co.uk at the same time, asdd the transfer rate and if you get around 2000Kb/s your connection is fine.

That's about 17 mbps.

Is it peak time download speed that's being hit in your first post?

Was done at around 8:27pm (or whenever the first post had been posted)
The speeds are usually the same at around 3am in the morning too, I'll try this on Friday or at the weekend :)
