I have today had Virgin BB installed. Previously my BB was by ADSL to a Belkin Modem router connected to my Apple Airport basestation(Time Capsule) and all worked dreamily.
I naively thought that when the Cable Modem was installed it would just be a case of an Ethernet connection between it and the Apple Basestation (as per the Belkin), power cycle the Apple so that it would start comms with the modem and away we go. But it's not happening and I'm tearing my hair out!!
I'm presently operating via ethernet between the modem and my Mac but when I plug the modem into the Apple Basestation Airport informs me I have no internet connection available although the Basestation itself is present. It seems the Basestation just can't connect to the cable modem.
I have power cycled both units several times and run through the network diagnostics dialogue stuff on my Mac which tells me it can't rectify the network fault.
Can anybody help me......please!!

Just sorted it, had to do a full factory reset and then fresh setup via Airport
