Virgin ADSL Modem Login

Hi all

Does anyone know the login for a VM dg834Gv5 (ADSL router)

I tried the password on the welcome letter and it didn't work

Also what is the username supposed to be, normally it's admin for netgear routers.

Although the service hasn't gone live yet the letter does say the modem is pre-configured which makes me wonder if it just connects using a generic login then picks up settings via TR69/ACS and until that has happened denys login to it's UI.

The pre-configuration applies to the PPP connection, nothing to do with logging on to the router itself.

Try admin / password or virgin / password or virginmedia / password

TR69 isn't used it's just PPPoA.

On the v9 the login details are on the bottom of the router

Interesting as the welcome letter clearly says the password they supplied is also used if you want to change any router settings.

Sorry I just cannot read, that's the PPP password!

also the router says admin/password on the bottom but this doesn't work.

don't think i tried virginmedia as the login so i'll try that.

I use the same Virgin supplied Netgear modem router

Log in name :- Virgin
Password :- Password
