my internet cutting out regularlly and also the websites take ages to load up.
also i can never host games online as everyone just lags out.
ive done a ping test. At the moment it seems to be working fine http://www.pingtest.net/result/6933955.png
also ran it on the laptop
and 0% packets lost.
earlier it was ~2000ms ping and ~1000 jitters
and over 50% packets lost

As ping sorts itself out my speed drops. I'm on 10 mb internet and only getting 2
http://www.speedtest.net/result/670951278.png

anyone know what i need to do to sort this.
ive been with virgin for 6 months and they haven't been reliable at all. i don't think i have had a stable connection in that time.

anyone know what i should do to sort this?

EDIT new ping test http://www.pingtest.net/result/6935357.png

Have you searched the forum for similar symptoms? Please do that because there's plenty of this about and if you read the threads, see where you fit in and post here the stats you see on the other threads we can try and bottom out what's wrong in your case.

Could you please also post your full event log and do a PATHPING WWW.BBC.CO,UK and post the results here.

This will tell us where you are, where the pinch point might be and what the history of your connexion is.

Thanks.

just been on the phone to virgin and they just told me that i reached the cap of downloading for that day. Even though i am on an unlimited broadband package. so since i downloaded too much in that time they cap my internet speeds till 9. so basically its unlimited download speeds at times of the day when everyone is asleep.

they give you a download limit of 2.5gb from 10am-3pm then they cap it at 2.5mb then from 3pm-9pm you have a download limit of 1.4gb then they cap it at 2.5mb. They didn't tell me this when i bought this package so basically i was misinformed.
i have been capped at 1mb and i dont seem to be regaining my speed till at least 11....

You weren't misinformed. It's there on the web page and always has been.
