no i wasnt, its a random issue that they cant track down, for example..

I could go to visit a site now and go str8 in yet then click and link and connection wont do anything its as if it has something else on and then the site will slowly begin to open.

Ive checked such things as open connections at the time of problem and so on and nothing. Ive even done the usual of trying another system such as a laptop when problem occurs and still same issue.

It can last from a few mins to phaps an hour and a half.

Can I ask Chris, if you have SO many issues with your broadband from virgin, why do you stay with them, if I had as many issues as you from one company then I would leave, it seems you have a different problem daily, I am getting to the point I think your making up the problems just to get your post count up, so please explain to me why!

Yeah i make up posts just to come on here i really Do, idiot!

I cancelled my contract in November but after 4 months of a problem they sorted it for me and i had a large ammount of money from them in back subscription.

And since when do i have a problem daily? i think if u were to check since the end of November ive had very few problems since i was taken off the BSR which is still causing issues in swansea for MANY people and put back onto the UBR.

Was it necessary to call the guy an idiot?

Welshchris

i think so yes if he is going outright accuse me of being and doing something im not.

The problem with people on here like people in life they speak without using their brains and knowing the full facts and then when told the full facts even then think ur lying so u cant win.

Its Pathetic it really is!

If he's wrong that doesn't make him an idiot, it makes him wrong.
No need for petty insults.

Welshchris

each to their own and i stick by what i said!

I wasnt the one who started petty insults by basically calling someone a liar.

And bringing the blog back on track. I just had word that there was an SNR problem in the area and its now been sorted. Should check my Virgin email more than once a week really.

I think you will find its not only chris in the area in swansea that has been experiencing all these problems, but chris took it upon himself to bring light to the situation and keep bothering them and it has worked. Although the issue is still not completely fixed its a damn sight better than what it has been and to call the guy a liar i think is totally out of order when you dont know whats gone on behind the scenes and what chris has actually done or the people who he has been in contact with on here with the same issues in Swansea including my dad.

I don't care really what you two think, I have never seen anyone with as many issues as Chris, just too make this clear I didn't call him a lair I said I am getting to the point where I think he is lying.

I have been called much worse Chris btw.

I really don't want to get involved but just wanted to add that I too am getting very slow browsing issues in the Swansea area on Virgin Media, so it must be a problem within the area. :)

Edit - Modem randomly reset and is as fast as ever now

I've kept an eye on my browsing in Swansea....it seems to have been OK. My wife browses a lot, and she hasn't reported any problems.

Quite frankly i couldnt care less what u or anyone on here thinks really and have stated that many times.

No one forces u to read my posts and if ur just gonna read them and post usless rubbish like this then is there any point to it?

Any more bickering or pointless posts will be dealt with by removal and infractions.

In any case, still no problem with browsing around here.

Russ the problem was also affecting parts of Neath. I rang my mate in Cimla and he was saying that hes on 10mb and his connection was dragging along. His son was trying to connect to Xbox live to do updates as it was a new box and it was so slow it wouldnt even connect.

When the problem sorted itself the xbox went str8 on.

Your friend is probably connected to different kit so your faults are in no way connected.

Moldova i am well aware of that thankyou i was just making a point to russ.

The network im on is known for SNR problems major time and they even admitted that over the past 2 years even before i moved here they have had problems over and over with certain parts.

The Upstream is usually the main cause apparenty thats why they use QPSK modulation.

My connection in Skewen is rock solid, and I have relatives in Cimla, who have not noticed any speed issues of late.
