i cannot register my pc

Morning all and a merry christmas, this is my first attemot at a posting hope i get it right, any advice would be great

I have formatted my PC it now has XP and i am on a set top box tried the

https://autoreg.autoregister.net/ and http://start.ntl/

these wont work, my connection says connected but i can get any sites or email so i assume its a registration issue any ideas. Prouty

Hi thanks for the reply i tried that they just tried the start ntl and another and gave up telling me to get a seperate modem a lot of help they where

You will need to call Tech Support as if you are still using a set top box it may have stopped receiving broadband as stb's are no longer provisioned on the network, plus you should have been automatically upgraded to 10Mb which no stb can handle.

You will require a Stand Alone Cable Modem to receive broadband.

You need to call Tech Support which is open 24/7 even on Christmas Day on 151 from your Virgin Media Phone.

It's absolutely free.

Or call 0845 454 1111 from any other phone line.

You may need a manned install to replace the stb though.
