Hi all,

I just accessed my modems web interface and it was totally different. The logs go back to 2nd December 2009 suggesting they must have remotely updated the firmware on it I guess?

Anyone else accessed their modem recently and noticed the same?

(Sorry if this has already been discussed)

Mine updated a few weeks ago, hasn't improved my service and hasn't made it worse :)

I hadn't noticed that, although when it finally stabilized after moving onto the overlay network I stopped looking. It also seems to work on Firefox now when it didn't before.

My logs go back to Sat Dec 12, although it says 12 days uptime so I assume it only shows the last few log entries.

Name WebSTAR EPC2100R2
Hardware Version 2.0
Software Version v2.0.2r1256-070601

It's not something the user has any control over. All of VM's consumer equipment (be it STBs or Modems) automatically installs new firmware as and when it is released..

I have an NTL Telewest business account with the same modem, which also updated. I've noticed now it displays the modem's config file name consistently. Previously it would display it for about 4-5 days and then that field would go blank until the modem was reset.
