As Virgin sell people 20 meg and then give them 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and up to 20 meg dependant on how they feel.

I wonder if they will be putting a 1600 crossflow in their formula one car? but tell the driver he has a 3 litre?.

I am confused isn't this a digg at VM or what, if it is then you have wasted a thread.

Since when has virgin media had a formula 1 car ? i was under the impression it was Virgin Racing ? and what does it have to do with virgin Internet :dunce:

As Virgin Media isn't part of the Virgin empire that owns the race team but instead Virgin Media is a renamed NTL I don't think it's relevant..

If they had, it would, no doubt, be heavily "throttled" at peak race times. :D

At least with VM, you don't pay for more fuel/bandwidth every X amount of miles/GB.

Virgin nothing to do with VM??

Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Entertainment Investment Holdings Limited owns a minority holding of 34,260,959 Virgin Media common stock as of December 2008[update] [83], making them the second largest shareholder.

Just a tought, when the car came into the pits would a call to tech support in India be necessary??? :-)

Hey folks there is no car it's just a simile for what the OP thinks of their 20 meg connection.

It was at least a better reaction than a straight rant...;)

Technically, as far as I am aware. "NTL" paid £x million to use the Virgin name and they purchased Virgin Mobile from Branson, who took a mixture of cash and shares thus the shares on Virgin Media.

As I said, I believe, it's the Virgin Brand in general, paying for this, not Virgin Media technically. So the little comments are getting annoying being an Avid F1 fan. :D

:D Priceless.

The car pulls in and a guy asks them to switch the engine off and on again.

Well it's in the VM forum....

As already stated the OP is using the car as an analogy as to the stop/start/limits of VM's broadband.. that has everything to do with VM

I know and I find it quite funny some of the quotes on here are quite amusing especially the thought of an offshore pit crew,.

We knew all about the Brawn team last year as it had our logo on it, this one does not have it hence no articles talking about it on intranet.

Not got a logo on it as ...errr it's not been released YET!!!

Anyway it had the Virgin logo on it and not the VM logo, so you can't have it both ways ;)

You would be amazed about how much coverage the Brawn team got, when Jenson Button won we even had a touring Scalectric track going around the call centres.:D
