What to do next

Hi all this is my 1st post and im looking for some advice

im on a 20mb cable,about 3 weeks ago my internet went to the dogs in terms of download speed
packet loss and ping most of the day and almost useless at peak times

download isnt such a issue as it only drops to about 10mbish
but i get unholy packet loss and ping which doesnt help my online gaming.

last week i phone the virgin tech line,after a bit of this and that the lady agreed there was something up
(i think she said the line was 9% optimised plus very high jitter)so she booked a engineer.

so i had the engineer round,he could'nt find anything wrong my end or with my connections to the cable
so he went off to boost my signal at the exchange box in the street.

unfortunately he said he was unable to find my line,and that the box proabley needed some maintenance.
I ask if he could do it and got a "not my job mate"

so wot do i do next shall i keep on at v,m
or wait till the maintenance is done(no time was given tho)or as a friend suggesed upgrade to 50mb

You have to keep on at them. This is a matter within VM's control and thus falls as an obligation to you under their contract.
