Pretty much, any issues? If not don't worry too much.

downstream receive power level generally should be set at 0 to -5db but as broadbandings said,if youve no issues it looks ok. ;)

Downstream receive has a nice wide working range, 0 is ideal but there's usually a decent range to go to. The chap's downstream type is especially accommodating.

My 50 is running at +8 - +9dBmV quite happily at the moment.

its just a rule of thumb we use on faults b.bings...0 to +5db for 50meg...0 to -5db on 10 and 20meg..we know there are +/- tolerances but if we aim for the best nearest we are doing all we can to improve consistencey in connectivity (that and tightening all the loose f's!!!) ;)

Fairy snuff.

Why the difference between the two OIAH if both are using the same modulation and signal type?

dont know b.bings, just what weve been told to look for!! ;)
