Now if i download anything it never goes past 150kb/s

I dont know much about connections but heres some information of my setup.

Here's some Information:

Microsoft Windows XP

3.39 Ghz, 1.00gb of RAM

Im connected with a modem no router involved says Surfboard 5B5101E at the bottom of modem.

Downstream
Frequency : 331000000 Hz
Signal To Noise Ratio : 39.8 dB
Power Level : 9.7 dBmV

Upstream
Channel ID : 2

Hi There and :welcome:,

Can you confirm you have completed these steps http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/94/33655002-speeds-slower-than-you-expect-xp.html#post34866985? You need to be connected by ethernet and the network adaptor needs to be set to 100mbps full duplex if it isn't already.

Ben :)

Your downstream level also looks a little high to me so you may need to ring tech support to get that adjusted if this is the case :)

Right you're gonna have to give tech support after 0800 cause that downstream power level doesn't look right to me. It may appear just coincidental that it has dropped after moving back to XP. Ring 151 from a Virgin Phone or 08454541111 from any other line after 0800.
