Can anyone tell me if there are any freeview boxes out there which will work with a TV which does not have any scart sockets.

Does it have any other inputs apart from RF? Might be time to think about a new one ;)

Something like the old Humax F2 Fox T has an RF modulator built in (just be careful as some don't), there's currently a couple on eBay.

What a lot of people do though is plug the freeview box into a VCR then use the VCR's modulator (also means you can record the freeview)

I thought that might be the case. Time to put the hand in the pocket. Thanks for the info

Yeh, my neighbour recently bought a Panasonic VCR dvd recorder with freeview, and to get any picture from that machine on the tv with no scart, it had to go via scart to an old VCR he had , and then rf aerial lead from that vcr to the tv.

Places like Aldi and Lidl have these Freeview tuners about the side of a hard disk and modulate to RF without the need for SCART. IIRC they retail for about £30 or so.

Just about all of them have an RF out socket as it's needed for the analogue pass-thru.. What most don;t have though is an inbuilt RF Modulator..

Another option is a scart modulator..

Dunno if this is the same scenario but I'm getting a perfectly good tv signal on an old tv in the bedroom plugged in to the RF Out socket (I think) on the back of the V+ with a lengthy extension cable. It'll do channels 1-5 plus whatever channel is on the V+ at the time.
