Hi,

I am a Brit abroad in the US and will be returning from exile in the new year. Over here I enjoy the benefit of a 3Mbps upstream cable speed, which makes a full online backup feasible (if still a little slower than ideal).

When I return, I will probably get Virgin Media's XXL cable service but my online backup service is due for renewal beforehand. Would one of you kind folks on the XXL package do a speed test to the Backblaze servers on my behalf to help inform my decision to renew?

You can get to their speed test here:

https://www.backblaze.com/speedtest/

Thanks!

B

A connection of 1481 kbps upload would backup:

15620 MB in a day

My download speed was 3452kbps, but I am having problems in that area. Upload is fine though.

Just tested from a 10Mbps leased line and 10M down, 7.8 up.

Thanks, buckleb - just what I needed. I'll keep my service then. That was from a Virgin Cable connection wasn't it?
