Hi all - first time on here

Just got the 50mb installed a week ago and reasonably happy so far. Anyway I have an new IMAC and when connected via the ethernet cable I am getting about 49mb (using virgins speed test on http://80.3.144.194/speedtest/login.php (see results below)

When I connect wirelessly (I have the DLINK 615) I am only able to get about 32mb max. The Mac is approx 5 feet away from the wireless router and as it is new I can't imagine its a problem with that. I am not too technically minded but tried changing the wireless channel from 6 to 11 and then to 5 but results are pretty much the same.

Anyone any suggestions how to maximize the wireless speed as I would expect closer to the 50mb.

Results I am getting are

Might be a limitation of that router.
Found an Aussie review (http://www.zdnet.com.au/reviews/hardware/networking/soa/Review-D-Link-Wireless-N-Router-DIR-615/0,2000065582,339298617,00.htm) which says they got 32Mb/s from it too.

The DIR-615 didn't blow us away with its performance but more than met our expectations, considering how much it costs.
Among Wireless-N routers we've reviewed this year, the DIR-615 is by far the most affordable; however, its performance is in no way the slowest. In CNET Labs' throughput test, where the router was set up to offer its best performance, the DIR-615 scored 33.2Mbps, slightly faster than the Apple Time Capsule

Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear.
