Speedtests can only go as fast as the slowest link, you may well be getting 50Mb through the modem..

Try the usual downloads from either multi-connection newsgroups or via the demo games directories on VM, that'll be a lot more accurate

You're looking for a total of 50Mb (about 6MB)

a download again only is as good as the slowest link, also a singe download might be restricted by the server you;re downloading from.

Do multiple downloads and add them up

Right done all the speedtest and max i get is 22meg.

I have called 50meg support team and they have got me to download files etc and done all tests. They have said im getting 50 meg but why do all speedtests say other wise?

I'm new to 50mb and mine is up and down all the time.

Is what I am currently getting. I know to take the results from this server with a pinch of salt, but I don't believe it ever tells you you are FASTER than reality. I am more than happy with this speed at this time in the evening.

Mine has gone as slow as 6mb/s

I know it's not always 50mb/s, but it's still 50% more than 20Mb/s most of the time for me so I think it's still worth the difference in cost.
