Just saw a trailer it look good.
What if you were shown a glimpse of your future six months from now? Would you look forward to what was coming… or would you try to stop it? And what if you didn’t like what you saw? How hard would you fight and what would you sacrifice to keep it from coming true?
When an unexplained, cataclysmic global event causes everyone to black out simultaneously for two minutes and 17 seconds, everyone will see a glimpse of their own future. Then they will wake up to chaos, and everyone is left wondering if what they saw will actually happen.

Five has said Autumn for it's premier, but it's not premiered in the US until the 24th September.

I read the book, it was excellent. I can't wait to see this show.

It's not started yet anywhere.
US broadcast starts on the 24th of September, UK on the 28th.
I've somehow accidently saw the first episode... It's in the usual places. I'm certainly intriuged by it. Not sure if it's gunna be as popular as Lost though...

Same here, at least it only took 10 mins to download though, gonna watch it later
I thought it was quite good.
It reminds me a little of The 4400 in the way it's done.

Watched the webisode, didnt rate it really. Got the audio book to listen to though.
Poorly acted, didnt seem to have substance. But I am willing to give it a few episodes once available.
It starts on Five on Monday 28th 21:00
Just watched ep 1 - very interesting - looking good, certainly want to see more.

I think the TV series is only loosely based upon the book, taking just the basic premise of the "Flashforward".

Very loosely based, finished the audiobook yesterday which I really enjoyed and which would make a good film.
Still not sure about the tv series tho.
Just watched the first episode of FlashForward. Wasn't bad. Good premise but badly produced in parts. Worth watching a couple more eps.
p.s. Seth McFarlane writes, directs, produces, animates, sings.... and now acts in FlashForward. Is there anything he can't actually do?

At the end my partner really made me laugh when they suggested that they knew why the one guy was awake at the stadium.. Asking them why they burst into a rendition of........
"He's got his tin foil hat on...Hip Hip Hip Horay!!!"
Not bad - but not the jaw-droppingly amazing show that people seemed to expect it to be.
I enjoyed it, and will continue watching it.
Thought it was pretty good apart from the very ropey of the cgi helicopter hitting the office building but overall i enjoyed it.
Series linked it and will look forward to watching it now True Blood is almost finished. ( 1 ep left )

How does the woman without a boyfriend get pregnant ? I believe she's 17 weeks pregnant in the flashforward I believe? 17 weeks is 5 months 1 week. So she would meet the guy in a couple of weeks.
Does the man without a flash forward have a future ? If it's the same as the book, then I know the answer.
Can the future be changed ? If it sticks to the book, then maybe.
Also a few other questions were thrown up.

By the normal method I'd assume. The Flashforward was from 6 months away, plenty of time for her to get pregnant.
Does the man without a flash forward have a future?
I'd assume not, the same as he & the other Fed assumed. No Flashforward = dead by that date.
Can the future be changed ?
That's up to the writers...

there must be a relevance to that number, 2:17
it could be a time, or date (feb 17th)
the x-file was always showing the time 10:17 this was also a company involved with making the show.

He could have been in
1. a non dream state,
2. in some kind of coma,
3. or as said before dead.

I think I misheard something. Just watched episode 2 and it made me want to go through ep one again and I couldnt find what I thought id heard so I must have been off track
I think Flashforward's a cunning ploy to get people to retune their freeview boxes who haven't bothered. I can't remember Five showed anything worthwhile watching in years but I quite like Flashforward.
The ad breaks in this are like every 10 minutes, it's worse than Sky one!
I'm seriously hoping FlashForwad doesn't turn out like Lost, getting stranger episode after episode but going nowhere.

Much the same with CSI but without those nasty Kia adverts at the start and end of the adds.
I have a 4 minute jump programmed into my remote to bypass these when viewing recorded programs. I could not bear to watch anything live on ITV,CH4&5 because of those adverts.
It is Back on Monday!!!!!!
