Rapidly losing the will to live........

Speedtest Result (http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/results.php?t=1252266640&v=7811282)

After having 4 days last week with no services at all, my 50mb has taken a dive yet again to sub 2mb downstream. Having Spoken to Bangalore, they insist it is a problem with my equipment and have booked a tech. Problem is earliest available is for this coming friday.

Can anyone see any issues here that would point to it being my end, or is it, as i suspect, a networks issue:

I should add that most of the other speedtests and a download or 2 from the gamefiles link give the same results, give or take a few kb either way.

Any help or advice appreciated please

Your power levels are pretty much spot on for your connection on 50Mb so any issue will either be network side or with your equipment.

As you are not happy with what the previous agent has told you I would advise you to call in tomorrow morning after 0800 to get the UK 50Mb support team who will investigate this fault further.

50Mb support line number.

Thanks for the direct number. The gent i spoke to said he was from the 50 meg team and the speedtests and levels are all pretty much the same from all 4 machines even when wired direct to the modem instead of the router.

Tbh i cant fault the gent i spoke to he was having worse issues than me to the point that he couldnt even get a response from my modem I will ring again in the morning. Just hope it is something network side that is fixable quicker than friday though. dont relish another episode of this after last week lol

If you ring any other number than that one and they do not say hang on while I transfer you to the correct department, then you are not speaking to a 50Mb agent who if your modem is online should be able to contact it and if not his 2nd line colleagues would be able to if online.

The are not many of us that take 50Mb calls in the UK call centres.

The first person i spoke to did transfer me but an educated guess says the 2nd person wasnt uk based either.

I guess its a case of ring in the morning and wait and see if it clears over night :tiptoe:

Thanks

Better ping times maybe but overall speed of less than 512 was not good lol.

The good new though is that it must have been a networks issue as everything is back to full 50mb+ this morning.

Will leave the tech visit in place for a day or so, just in case :)
