Would like to know how to port forward on my 50 Mb Router.

Also if anyone also knows, what ports to open for the:

Xbox 360

PlayStation 3

Wii

That would be great :)

Hi there,

You can't open ports on the 50MB VM Modem as for the router, you shouldn't need to do anything, plug it in and away you go.

As to which port to open, it depends on the game, read the instructions for the game, they should tell you which need opening.

I don't know if it's the same for game consoles, but I just had 50 meg installed and on my old Linskys router I had to do port forwarding for Bit torrent to work, but this new router just worked straight away!

I'm fairly sure xbox/ps3 etc all work on uPnP so the ports automatically forward as necessary. It would be a little stupid if those who weren't computer literate all had to setup port forwarding/static IP's etc for their consoles.

Yep, they do - no need to open ports, plug in / connect to wifi and go..

Direct connections to a modem does not restrict/block or need the forwarding of any ports

Port Forwarding is broken on the WNR2000
