Hello i hope i can get some sound advice from u guys. Well recently say over the past 2 weeks ive been having terrible lagg mainly in peak times but off peak its still bad. I am huge gamer so any type of network trubbles i feel hard. Right now in world of warcraft i have a ping of 600ms in COD4 my ping is 250ms both of these games give me an avrage of say 60-80ms. Not only this i can feel lagg when im browsing the net pages loading slowly and such. I know that if i phone virigin help for this matter they will pin it down to a problem with my pc or modem or some other fault other then there own. This is where it gets fun my sister lives 3 miles from me and her and her Boyfriend game also and guess what? they have the exsact same issues as me. Even random disconections from the internet happen at same times. My sister has phones virigin about this issue and they simply told her it was a problem with here pc and that it could be full of maleware? lol. So sorry for the HUGE rant.. But this is my issue.. How do u complain about latency issues if u are getting 20mb down do I even have anything to complain about???

(My pc is clear of all isses that could cause net slowdown) (ive even done a total clean of my pc formatting and reinstalling windows). I've ran my net thro my routher and streght to pc with the same results. its 100% clear to me virign media have a problem in my area.. but they will not admit this??)

Thanks for your time;)
Steve.

Hello,

1. Press Windows + R and type CMD in the box and click OK.
2. Type ping www.bbc.co.uk (http://www.bbc.co.uk) and press enter
3. Type tracert www.bbc.co.uk (http://www.bbc.co.uk) and press enter and paste both results here
4. Go to http://192.168.100.1 log in with the username and password root and post everything from the downstream and upstream pages

This will help people to diagnose your problem better.

Ben :)

Wow those times are extremely high on your traceroute, your upstream power level is a little high which may be causing some issues, a tech would need to adjust this.
