Had 50mb installed today(upgrade from 20mb which was great for 2yr had it) the engy did same speed test over and over on the virgin site and it maxed out at about 35mb max which even he thought was odd and couldnt resolve the issue.
Anyways he left and i ran one from speedtest.net and got 47mb which is fine and downloaded a torrent at 5.9mb sec which again spot on happy. But since then every speedtest ive ran (loads of different ones not just one site) ive gotten anywhere from 20mb to 35mb max. The same torrent again wouldnt give me anymore than 4mb and it didnt stay long at that speed dropped to about 3.7mb/sec avg
Ive read back about 5pages and obviously its not just me with exact same problems, am guessing have to ring them which i will do in a week see if resolves itself (i can dream?)
This is on wired to pc with router and without supplied netgear router so it was cable modem directly into pc and wireless from lappy (with N dongle) Same results either way.
Windows firewall is all i use and ive tried it on and off no difference.
(both pc and laptop on vista 64bit)
