Slow speeds in Coventry (CV2)

Hi all, currently having a few issues with speed in Coventry (Been going on for a few weeks now) speed rarely goes above 3.5 Mbps. I am meant to be on the 20 connection.

Test 1: 1024K took 2035 ms = 503.2 KB/sec, approx 4146 Kbps, 4.05 Mbps
Test 2: 1024K took 2336 ms = 438.4 KB/sec, approx 3612 Kbps, 3.53 Mbps
Test 3: 1024K took 2164 ms = 473.2 KB/sec, approx 3899 Kbps, 3.81 Mbps
Test 4: 2048K took 4764 ms = 429.9 KB/sec, approx 3542 Kbps, 3.46 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 3800 Kbps, 3.71 Mbps


I am on a NTL Home 100 modem so I don't know if that's a problem, I've got fairly near full speed before.

the NTL 100 is pretty old kit, now - best phone in & quote your slow speed & you should be sent a shiny new 256 modem :)

I will do that and hopefully not be fobbed off like I let myself last time when they said my modem would be fine for that speed.

homealone is spot on, the NTL 100 is not suitable for 20Mbit.
