I have been on the 10MB service for sometime now and it as been pretty much rock solid no complaints. I decided to go for a upgrade to 20MB today as it was only £7.50 more. I think there was a problem with them sending the signal to the box but think it got there eventually. Here is what my modem says

I still seem to be on 10MB if what with a lower than average speed. It looks like th config file that as been sent is the same as the one that was allready in the modem. Shouldn't it have been different for a different speed and how long does it take for the new speeds to actually come through ? The lady this morning said about an hour and that my modem should reboot and I'll then be on the new speed. I've rebooted the modem twice now since then and still the same.

Should I just ring them tommorow or wait for it to upgrade itself eventually. How long as it taken for others ? There as been a fault today with acessing accounts. ?

Give it 24hrs to settle in and then test the speed.

OK will do I hope I haven't made a mistake as my connection was 10Mb rock solid on L package most of the time. My package as now changed to XL and my download speed as plumbeted to less 2Mb and for more money. If not any better in a few days will go back to my stable 10Mb connection and ask for a refund.

I wouldn't trust thinkbroadband speed test, I got 5.3 down and 0.5 up http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/results/id/124769420842885323887.html
and on speedtest.net I get:

Not much better there either. No speed test coming anywhere near 20Mb as I said , before upgrade everyone was coming up nearly 10Mb solid 98% of the time. So def a problems with the 20Mb service as opposed to my 10Mb service.
