View Full Version : Anyone having issues in the Oxford area?

Live OX14 and for the past week I keep losing a connection as the modem "ready" light starts flashing. If I leave it all will return - I do not need to reboot. Sometimes it comes back on OK within a few minutes sometimes after an hour or so. Have rung Virgin twice and they claim it's not a fault their end, but they will send an Engineer out.

It's so damn frustrating....................andso imtermittant :mad:

No problems here so it must be very localised.

UPDATE:

Engineer called this morning as planned (same guy who came out to similar fault last year who is very friendly and knowlegeable) and said it was due to the upstream level being too high. He called a colleague who has just been to adjust some things in the road side and my levels have now dropped and all should be OK. The second man (also very helpful) said he had to make adjustments to the entire area on our estate. It appears I was the first to complain as it would have affected all! The first guy showed me how I can keep a check on the upstream levels for future use.
Couldn't fault the professional and friendly manner of either men - good on them!
