50mb installed today - questions!

I had 50mb installed and its working at the full 50mb (dead on via ethernet and speedtest.net!) yet when I try to connect to the virgin newsgroups since the install it is saying that authentication is required - are the newsgroups down or do I need to change something?

Also does anyone have the ip address for the new virgin modem so I can read through the logs and settings?

cheers - same settings as me except its still asking for authentication! agrrr

I give up with the news groups today - seems to me that the virgin news server doesn't believe I'm on the virgin network as it should authenticate it.
