Morning people, I had some trouble with my 50Meg, the day after getting it installed it completely died, i called the support line and was told my downstream freq was too high.

I have got in from work this morning to find the internet now works but the freq is the same as it was when it was disconnected, my upstream power level of 58 is also still pretty much the same as before.

I am suspecting there is still a problem as nothing seems to have changed from having no connection. :-) although my speedtest results are 50.54Meg down & 1.64Meg Up

hmm the downstream looks ok the upstream is ok as long your connection is stable you try reboot the modem?

That upstream is way too high. The max is 61 but as a rule we leave it below 55.

It died again shortly after posting yesterday morning, i have an engineer coming out today so hopefully it'll be sorted.
Cheers for the replys :-)

FYI All the DOCSIS 3 modem maxes out at 58.21dBmV transmit power (well it says that's what it's transmitting at) on 16QAM, as it should, the standard is for 58dBmV. This is better than the pre-DOCSIS 3 standard which was 55.

This isn't satisfactory and is the max for these modems - any DOCSIS 3 modem showing 58.21dBmV transmit power needs immediate attention, indeed any modem showing 58dBmV is in need of some attention, should be 55 or under.

Modulation 16QAM
Power Level (dBmV) 58.21

your upstream is too high it needs sorting out also downstream at -6 that needs doing aswell is there an attenuator on the back of the modem take it off see what happens
