View Full Version : 10meg weekly disconnects for 4+ hours

Hi all,

For the last 3 months my 10meg line has been disconnecting itself for up to 4 hours. The modem will just have the ready light flashing and I can't use the net.

I have of course phoned up and had 3 different engineers (all top blokes)out to fix the problem.

Engineer 1: Said cable was loose in box and tightened it up

Net goes down again

Engineer 2: Fixes something to the modem to smooth out the signal and tells me due to the 50meg upgrade the power in the boxes is too high.

Once again net fails after a week.

Engineer 3: Says Engineer 2 did a wicked job and can't see any fault with the line to house and say it is a network issue. Installs new modem and leaves.

Works for about two weeks.

I call up and get told we will send another engineer around... Is there anyway I can resolve this as paying for something that is broken because of VM upgrade to 50m is not acceptable to me?
