Hi,

I was wondering if somebody could review my modem configuration and give me some feedback pls.

Over the last 4 weeks I've experiencing major lag on the Xbox and intermittent downtime on the web. I've noticed packets are being retransmitted and pings to Virgins DNS box 194.168.4.100 show lots of RTO's this also applies to hops (routers) along the virgin WAN.

VM sent a replacement modem out but this has not helped the situation.

Any help would be appreciated

Only a tech visit can fix your upstream power level, it's too high.

Apparently there is an issue with 194.168.4.100, that's probably your primary dns.
You could try setting them manually with 194.168.8.100 as primary and 194.168.4.100 as secondary.
Or you could try OpenDNS.
