I am getting a new computer in the next few days do I just connect my SB4100 Surfboard modem to the computer, or do I need to do anything else, to get me back on the Internet?

Just plug it in, power up and away you go.

Turn off your modem, plug the ethernet cable into your computer, turn the modem back on and power the PC up, easy. ;)

Nothing special if your using the ethernet cable if your using the usb cable your going to need the drivers, If not its basically power everything down plug your new pc in connect all cables and power back up.

Not anymore afaik. You need to reboot the modem when swapping to a different MAC though as mentioned above.

No since the merger of NTL and Telewest that is no longer a requirement.
