My current broadband service is Size L which was formerly the 4Mb service that was increased to 10Mb. My monthly bill is £25 but I see from the Virgin Media web site that Size L is now £20 with a special offer at the moment of £15 for three months. When I query this with the 'customer service' department they tell me that the £20 is a special offer that is not applicable to current customers but nowhere does it say on the Virgin site that the £20 is a special offer.

What are others paying for their Size L service?

So technically you are getting your broadband for £15.50.

If you dont like the price bundle you are on, speak to customer care, they may have better deals for you with what you have.
