As I am aware if your level goes into the minus its fine unless it goes over 6 in ex telewest and 12 in ntl areas I maybe wrong.

Are you having any issues?
After 5mins exactly my speed takes a massive hit. On usenet it drops from 1.1MBs to 48kbs every time without fail

THey are spot on for your connection, but what is the Upstream as that is just as important.
Are you connected direct or wireless as it could be your router.
yeah.
Downstream Power Level should be between -12 & 12
Upstream Power Level should be between 33 & 55
SNR should be between 29 & 59
(If you are in an ex Telewest Region)

Im not sure if im in an ex telewest or ex NTL region, but i do think its exNTL as a friend who lives not so far away used to be on NTL.
today my down stream looks like this -
Downstream Receive Power Level : -1.3 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 33.4 dB
and my upstream is
Upstream transmit Power Level : 49.5 dBmV
I have been told by BroadbandKing that i am in a very low usage area. I have been advised to contact customer support as i thought i may have been capped for excessive downloading (iv done 300gb this week friday > friday) but broadbangking says that this doesnt happen.
Im using QAM64 down and QAM16 up + DOCSIS 1.0 if that makes any difference
Im connected by Wireless using WPA/WPA2 (pre shared key) with full signal. I get the same results with a direct conection to the modem via ethernet
thanks

Your upstream is fine as well so the issue will be elsewhere.
If you post what modem and the downstream frequency I should be able to say if you are Ex-NTL or Telewest.
