No, that price is only for new customers. I know, they like screwing the old customers.

Actually it is £35 for everyone (old or new customers) as long as you also take out the phoneline at £11 (so total is £46)

I believe it's £50 for those not wanting the phone line

Just don't forget the install charges

do you know how much that would be? i can't see anything on the site. and another thing, its cheaper to have 50mb broadband and dearer to have 20mb! thats shocking

It used to be expensive (£70-80 quid) but now it's about £50 (£30 install and £20 to connect you)

It's all on THIS (http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/product.do?id=15208) page just read the small print for the install costs..Oh it does mention quickstall there (i.e. self install) but everyone is reporting back that this option is NOT available with 50Mb

Actually it's not cheaper to have 20Mb if you also take into the price of the phoneline

The £35 is for all with an £11 phoneline but remember that it counts as a discount and if you have a discount at the moment (tripple pack for example) you have to lose one of the discounts as they won't discount twice.

The £35 price on top of a phoneline is for everyone

But then the replacement discount factors that in.

The general rule is that that for the lower packages BB XXL is £15 more than the current XL price

For customers on Triple XL, XL Plus or VIP it is an extra £10

No it says

The £30 online credit is applied to online purchases of three cable services together (i.e. broadband, TV and phone) on a 12-month contract. The online credit will be applied to your first monthly bill. Offer is available to new customers only and may not be used in conjunction with certain other offers.

and is in relation to the £30 discount on installation

so i logged onto my selfcare website, clicked on upgrade and it gave me a price for the xxl

Pick your new package

Your existing package is Virgin Media broadband Size XL . This is a £37 per month subscription.
Upgrade to Virgin Media broadband: Size XXL £52 per month subscription

what a stupid price

Because selfcare doesn't take into account bundle discounts. Those are the prices of the BBI by itself

yeah are these discounts going to be like i dunno 35 quid for the first 3 months or something? plus they should take into account that we have been with them for nearly 8-9 years

No you will get the same price for 50Mbit as everyone else - as has already been said.

If you want 50Mbit and want the best price then you need to phone up
